35 MM Carb Kit
Stage III & IV Ported, as well as Big Bore Blasters have a larger appetite for fuel, to feed that hunger the MidCal R&D department takes you up to 35mm. Remember, just bolting up bigger carbs can actually make your Blaster lose performance. The 35mm kit comes dynamically tuned to match the ported Blaster 200cc to 300cc. The kit is complete with Stainless Steel braided throttle cables, plastic coated to prevent fraying and splitting. Also included are a huge Outerwear- wrapped K+N filter, intake manifold, Velocity tube, and a selection of jets.

Researching for months on the in-house CycleDyn chassis dynamometer, MidCal Engineers worked countless man hours, testing pipe designs with every combination of engine upgrades to ensure that the Stage IV outperforms the competition, whether it's on stock Blaster with the airbox lid removed, one that's fully built to 300cc or anywhere in between.   • Stage IV Reed Spacers
    MidCal's 1/2 and 3/4 inch reed spacers accelerate intake air so you can adjust how hard the engine kicks when you slam on the gas. Different sizes of reed spacers give you the ability to fine tune your quad's powerband to your personal preference. Moving the reed cage further back slightly shifts power toward the bottom end, while leaving it forward and shifting the manifold back will tend to lean towards High RPM. The size you choose depends on your specific mods, you'll want to experiment to find your personal preference. A must-have for Extreme fine-tuning.

    Having experimented with different type of materials and manufacturers, MidCal's R&D kept coming back to K&N. The superior materials and manufacturing just can't be made better. The K&N delivers cleaner air, and it flows a whole heck of a lot of it. MidCal adds an Outerwear pre filter to the kit, this keeps out the big stuff.

  • Porting
    If you're a Sport Rider, You want really good full-throttle power, but you also want it to come on right out of the hole, as soon as you hit the gas. Fortunately, MidCal knows how to match cylinder porting with the head modifications to get the airflow just right, and stretch out the powerband envelope to give you instant power and Top End pull at the same time. Here are the differences:

    Stage II- Sport Riding
    An even curve with a serious gain over stock throughout the entire powerband

  • Cylinder Head Modifications
    The head mod increases the efficiency of the engine. If you look at the bottom of the head, you'll see the squish band, and an angled ring around the outside of the combustion chamber. The angle of the squish band, coupled with the cc volume and bowl dimensions, determine how the air/fuel charge is controlled as it enters and exits the engine. MidCal uses specific squish band angle dimensions on a given cc volume, carefully matched to the port design. With the head mod and the cylinder porting matched together, MidCal engineers have created a combustion environment that produces your desired powerband.

    (A moving air/fuel charge always burns better than a static charge, because more of the heat energy is turned into horsepower. MidCal CNC machines the exclusive "turbo" pattern in the squish band area of the head which directs the charge to the center of the bowl, making it spin like an Osterizer on steroids and burn more efficiently. The rider experiences a bigger kick at the low end, and a quicker on-throttle response.)

    Stage IV Superlites were developed by MidCal in conjunction with Wiseco to go 2 steps beyond, providing real cutting edge piston technology . Lighter than the Wiseco standard Prolite pistons, Superlites also have cutouts above the pin to lighten the weight and improve heat rejection, side cutaways to optimize transfer port flow, and the upper boost port that directs crankcase pressure to give an extra 2 hp across the rpm band in stock or modified motors. The piston crown is undisturbed for complete combustion and even heat distribution.

    Crankshaft components must be assembled to Exact specifications. Even .002" out of specification will cause vibration. Vibration will rob you of your horsepower, reliability and it drastically reduces engine life.   • Stage IV Gasket Sets
    Not all stock Yamaha, these gasket sets are the direct result of research by Trinity to get the best materials in your engine. When needed, CFM 20 wire impregnated gaskets seal the head and cylinders solidly, while Trinity's polymer base gaskets ensure full torque to the head, while still allowing the base of the cylinders to cushion the vibration of the engine and suck up the stress. Don't cheap out with gaskets -Spend a few extra bucks to get the highest technology available.

    Different fuels and engine modifications change pre-mix requirements in your engine. MidCal offers this aluminum block off plate with a fresh cover gasket. Remove the oil injector and run your own mix.
